Does anyone know how to change the file association on the P800? There was a post about it, but there was no direct answer to it except a work around.

I installed a game called "Lines" and it is now a default application for openning any text files (appearing in "Beamed" under message) sent to my mobile via Bluetooth. I need to change the file association so that the default application for a text file is "Viewer."

Along a similar line, I prefer Opera as my browser. However, if I have a url in a SMS, when I click on it, it opens it in the default browser. Any way to change this association?

Thanks,
ptc

no, you can't get opera to open the url's, but if it's a format not recognized by the phone initially, then if you install a codec for it to recognize it, then install another program over it, that will override it,

I dream about having Opera as the default browser too... The default browser is rubbish in comparison. It's a shame the bloody thing can't be uninstalled - it's actually narder to get rid of than IE in Windows... Maybe I should sue Symbian for the same reasons Microsoft was sued...?

Hi Oco,

I went to the c:/system/Recogs and only found two files: RecAppForge.mdl and RecOpl.rdl. Both of them are binary. Do I need to edit this files? Do you have any clue?

Best,

Antonio
