You can use sequencing software that supports midi and use a soundcard that has general midi sounds (general midi is the most basic form of midi sound), and basically write your own tunes.

Don't forget midi is binary data, so a sound module or general midi is needed to here what you are doing. Your phone has its own built in sound module and reads the various 0's and 1's to trigger off different sounds.

Hope that helps.

You can use a simple MIDI editor such as Anvil Studio wich is also free. Personally i prefer CakeWalk, but it's not free. To send the MIDIs to the phone you will need a program like SendFile.

If you want to make IMY (mono) tones, try searching the forums for the IMY editor...

imy are not polyphonic. Midi should work on T610. I don't know of any converters, but I think someone has mentioned one. Try searching the forums.

So far I havn't seen one that doesn't. I have downloaded and played MIDIs up to 120kb in size. Do you get any error messages? Won't the phone accept the files, or does it simply refuse to play them? Do any polyphonic ringtones work?

I have checked it out now, it appears that MIDI is supposed to be saved in "Midi Format 0" for T610 to be able to use it.
