I used to use xmbox.com for email and it worked like a treat. Alas they have closed down due to lack of funds.

I have tried just about every free SMTP server mentioned here and none work. Send always fails.

Now T-Mobile has an SMTP server. Only problem is that on their website where it explains how to set up your phone ( https://myemail.t-mobile.com/html?c=10&a=19 ) the way they say you need to enter your username is WAY too long for the T68i - I get 2.3 of the way through it and cannot enter any more characters.

Has anyone had any luck with using the T-Mo smtp server? I can retrieve my POP mail via my email setup on T-Zones.

I DONT want to use WAP to browse/send email - that's why the phone has a POP/SMTP client.

Help.

I can't get to the page you've linked; when I click the link I get re-directed right back to the main T-Mo site. If you tell me how to get to that page I'll see if I can help, as I use T-Mo/GPRS etc here in California.

My T-Mobile\T-zones Settings\My Email\Options\POP Settings - see box at bottom of this page with "configured mailbox" and "user id" columns.
