Do I have to upgrade the firmware to be able to play 3GPP files with the video cam software from the Memory Stick Duo?

Thanks.

Nope I have R2D and I play .3gp from my duo all the time. I also installed the camcoder with the .sis that SWEET-HEART made. You can play mp4 off the duo with pv or camcoder

You'll be able to play your MP4s (directly from the MS Duo) on the Camcorder Player by launching the file(s) through either "Storage Manager" (in your P800 Contol Panel) or "File Manager" (if you have installed this app). Just click on the file and it will auto launch. BTW you CANNOT launch (initiate play) a video file directly in the Camcorder app unless it's on the P800 C Drive (internal).

I also have installed the .sis file that Sweet-Heart made. It finds the 3GPP files fine when I place the in the path Phone Memory\video\unfilled but when I place them in the path Memory Stick\video\unfilled the Camcoder program can’t find them. I thought someone had said you can start them through the storage manager but that just runs the bundled packetvideo player.

Thanks

Ok…

I can use the storage manager to play the 3gpp file only once. After the Camcoder starts it writes a file called Camcoder.3pg to the folder and it is not playable. I can only see this new file and the 3gpp files that I want to play if I leave the Camcoder program running. I can’t delete the file and if I close the Camcoder program and go back to storage manager I can no longer see any file listed in the video folder. So I can only play one of the movies once and I can’t delete the file added by the Camcoder program because no files show up after I close the Camcoder program. Hmm…

Now…

If I take my new 128MB Duo ( J ) and place it in my memory card reader (a must have, as it is many times faster than the phone) and I can see the video folder and my original files with the new one added by Camcoder. I can now delete the Camcoder.3pg file from the Duo and place it back in the P800 and go through the entire process again.

What gives???

Thanks in advance for any help.
