Hello everyone, i have the lastest firmware (R2F) and i have had no major problems (a few small glitches here and there but nothing too bad). last night i tried to take some photos when i was out to dinner with friends and the cam would just not work. onlt the SE logo on the screen. even restarted the phone and still didnt work!!! however this morning it is all ok again. now normally i would just go hmmm, ok well its a complexe device and it wasn't feeling well so didnt work. but it should and i dont want it to happen the next time i want to take some fun candid shots! any ideas why this may have happened? also is the a major firmware update in the pipeline at all? one that updates all apsects of the phone including bluetooth!?

this tends to be a memory issue, but restarting should fix if it is.

Much space left on your internal drive?

I had the same thing, but if you try to take a photo it works! Just no viewfinder.

Sometimes not even a restart fixes this.

At power-up P800 launches some apps automatically, and if you are running out of space on the C (internal memory) sometimes this camera problem show up.

Try to free some space on C and try to shut down as many apps as possible with SMAN for example and give it a try.

At least this is what I did and it worked.

Happy weekend!

i had this when i got my first one a few months ago.

i took it back and showed Phones4U the fault, they agreed to replace it.
Got the next one home to find it had the same problem d'oh!
after taking it back and checked another they agreed the problem was with the batch, (though the fones werent removed after they knew this)
They called the next branch in the next town, who agreed to send one over.

This one was and still is fine, never a prob.
