i`ve heard that switching the backlight off will improve viewing in sunlight, problem is i dont have that option on my phone. I have on and automatic but no off. sw is R1A081

I`ve just read the manuel and the phone don`t have the option to switch backlight off, so how do some of you on here switch yours off.

I use T68i. But did not see any great improvement in visibility in sunlight after turning backlight off. So don't feel bad about software! This message was posted from a T68i

The T610 does not have the ability for the backlight to be switched off as such. It will always come on when a key is pressed. It does, however, have an option in each profile that allows you to keep the light on if desired and this is especially useful in the in car profile for example.
