What is that red LED in the joystick on my T610 for?

A. The red LED will light up when you set the phone on charge while it's off and when the phone is low on power. IMY ringtones can also flash the led when they play.

Well, so long so good, but.... I just bought my T610 and the red light is there when charging but only for a while then it disapears. How do I know when my phone i fully loaded?

by coincidence... thats the first question in this Answers to the most common questions on Esato Forums (FAQ style)

edit: hmmm yeah ok... if charging with the phone turned off (which it sounds like you are doing if you see the LED while charging) then when the red LED goes out then you know your phone is fully charged!

when charging with the phone turned on then yes, as wrath000 said, you need to check the battery indicator has stopped blinking.

You can also check the battery indicator when charging with the phone turned off too. Just press a key during charging to see the battery indicator.

Yes, that underused Red LED.......

But what we all want it for is this (Are you listening Sonyericcson)?

When we get a sms message or miss a phone call.....

Make the red LED Flash, please please please.

Everyone I have spoken to says how annoying it is that if you are not near your phone you have to press a button to get the screen back just to check if you have a message waiting.

If the LED flashed you'd easy know if there was something.

Would be a superb thing to do.......

Yeah, it would have been nice if the LED flashed for missed call/message. I have to say though, I don't miss the network LED (you know the one that blinks all the time). It's really good to be finally rid of it.

Now, you see there I have to disagree.. when I go bush in Oz the signal comes and goes and the network indicator light on the T68i etc was useful... now I have to actually activate the screen to see if I have a signal. The bluetooth light on the T68i was a bit bright at night though!

On my old Samsung you could switch the network LED on and off as you pleased (you could even change the color to the least offensive one)

I REALLY REALLY miss that feature!!!

@masseur
You have a point there, but then, if the singal does disappear there is really not that much you can do, so you might as well not be reminded of it every 2,5 seconds...

ah... but at least I know I don't have to fiddle with the phone to even attempt to start to make a call if I know there is no signal!
