Hi

I'm having troubles with the system error message popping up on a t610 with vodafone. I have everything else working ok - just can't send an mms without this system error coming up. I got the mms settings off the web site so i think they're ok.

I've seen one other reference to this, is it a technical problem vodafone have?

what exactly is the text of this system error message that you get?

The phone tries to send the message - the progress bar moves along the screen and then the text 'system error' comes up. That's all I know i'm afraid. I did read another post about this but there was no resolution unfortunately.

Thanks

well all I can do is post my settings and you can compare. I use GPRS btw.

Data account:
APN: wap.vodafone.co.uk
user id: wap
password: wap
IP address: (no value)
DNS address: (no value)

Wap profile: (in connectivity, WAP profile)
connect using: (above WAP data account)
IP address: 212.183.137.012

picture mesaging, options
message server: http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms
wap profile: the profile setup above

If these are all correct then ensure with Vodafone that you have MMS activated. Other than that I have no idea

Thanks for that - i think you have the message server address wrong though. It should be mms.vodafone not /. I checked on the website. When I tried your settings i get communication error instead.

Looks like a call to vodafone to check on the mms stuff - sigh or shoudl i say several phone calls...

oops, yes, bit of a typo there but I have corrected it now in that post in case anyone else finds this post in future.

So I guess that did not help you?

No, but I guess its possible that MMS is not enabled on my sim card. I would have thought it was if GPRS data and wap was though?

No, they seem to be different. I changed my vodafone plan a couple of months ago and a week later found that they had forgotten to reactivate MMS on that new plan although I was happily using GPRS all that week
