I found three basic interpreters written in Java:
HotTea http://www.stashtea.com/java/hangman.htm , http://files.danen.org/pr/java/ mlht02.zip
Cocoa http://www.mmhart.com/Download2/cocoabasic-for-zaurus.zip (a zaurus port, but I think it contains original files too)
JaBa http://flying-dog.com/jaba/index.htm

I was only able to run the third one onto my PC, but now I don't know how to install it on my p800, and IF I can do it: does the p800 support ANY java applet, or just midlets?

The other two interpreters: they are veeery old, I found them in ancient ('90) web pages, and they don't run... completely: they just start, buth then they lock.
Any help would be appreciated: programming p800 in basic would be fine!

The P800 runs J2ME which is not a full Java inplementation.
http://www.mobilebasic.com has a version of BASIC that works on J2ME.
