My dad has an Ericsson T68, not the T68i. Is there a way to send ringtones/sound files to his phone via infra-red? If so, what type of files?
Thanks,
Speedy

yes.
*on the receiving phone, turn on infrared port.set to "receive"
*on the sending phone, select ringtone, click on "send" via infrared
*align both phones so the infrared are facing each other close together.
goodluck!

you can send .amr files (voice recordings, i think), .emy files (normal eMelody ringtones used by almost all ericsson phones), and .imy files (iMelody ringtones, which are improved, with different effects like flashing LEDs, backlight, vibrating tempo, and other stuff).

Can I send ringtones (midi files) from a Nokia 7650 to an Ericsson T68? I don't seem to be able to send them by text.

no... T68m/i doesn't support polyphonic ringtones (midi files)
