Dear all
Really confused by this. I've just got my new T610, set it up to connect to my laptop via Bluetooth, which all works quite happily. I can synchronise with Outlook etc. I can also quite happily make GSM Data Calls via T610 modem to BTOpenworld which gives me speed of 9.6K. When I do this, eveything works ok, can surf web etc - albeit very slowly.
However when I add *99***1# to the modem number, it connects correctly and I get an IP Address from BTOpenworld as I should, however I cannot connect to the internet or BTOpenworld DNS server even.
Any ideas? Thanks

If it is "wap" and you want it to remain "wap", simply create a new account with APN "internet", and use it's CID. For example, if the CID if the new account is 3, the dial up number would be: *99***3#

Another suggestion regarding your slow dial-up connection. Since you connect @ 9.6 kbps you must be using CSD. In order to connect faster you could ask your operator to enable HSCSD. If memory serves me right, this way you could bring your connection speed up to 28.8. The downside is that your operator might charge you extra for HSCSD traffic.

hi!the modem-drivers that ericsson gives for communication with a computer are only for windows 2000 or XP!i have windows ME what can i do?it means that ALL THE MILLION USERS WHO HAVE other than 2000 or XP can not have GPRS with t610???IS THAT POSSIBLE?thank you do you know something to help me?

Thanks for all the replies. I checked out my GPRS settings and they all seemed ok, spoke to 3 or 4 people at Vodafone, and finally got to the bottom of it. While I had GPRS setup on my account, I only had it enabled for WAP not for Internet access. The guy reset 'a port' and then I tried it again and I got straight through. Now I can surf the web on the train which is really cool.
