Anyone ever ordered a phone from these guys?
Ordered a T610 from them free with £30/month contract, theres nothing on their terms & conditions about a minimum tariff lock for 3 months or something like that, and spoke to the guy at Dial-a-phone customer service who advised I could ring my billing company (either Celular Ops or Singlepoint) who can change my tarriff to the o2 leisure time plus which is £20/month.
This true?

i was of the impression its the networks ie o2 etc who set the 3 month min.so you could be stuck on that tariff for 3 months normally the retails have the same rules etc that direct customers have

02 and t mob are 6 months. orange is 4 months, voda not too sure. The minimum time is set by the operator and not the retailer as the phone is subsidised, the operator whats to make as much cash as poss of u on the minimum term.

So if thats the case, im stil within my 14 day period so I'm just gonna ring the service provider up and tell them I'm going to cancel. I have nothing to lose, but they do.. Surely they would rather keep me as a customer if I pay £20/month than lose me for not wanting to pay £30/month? After all if the handset doesn't mean anything to them why should they care how much I got it for as it's Dial-a-Phone's loss is it not
Also, are O2 T610's unlocked and relatively untouched?

O2's T610's are completely unlocked and have tried with a virgin and orange sim card and all worked fine, but as for the untouched, its not too bad apart from a very annoying non-deletable screensaver that takes up 220kb of memory!

My Vodafone T610 is through Singlepoint (crap company that they are). Phones4u tried to flog it to me on a £35 a month contract. But I just rang them up the next day and switched it to a lower tariff. I don't think they have a minimun fixed tariff period - and if it's not in your contract then they can't touch you.
Incidentally, has anyone with Singlepoint ever tried to get a replacement phone sent to them? As on their website FAQ it says they will do this free of charge if any problems occur after thirty days...

I can live with that I guess but it looks like they have completely different tariffs to O2 themselves.. Only doing this for the phone anyway TBH which will be used with my T-Mobile SIM card..
I know it's gonna work out nearly the same as buying new but I'd prefer spreading the cost over the year, and also I get a few free mins to waste. x^_^x
