I know, i know, some of your are just dying to reply to this topic with the "USE THE SEARCH" icon

but before you do this, please hear me out first.
believe me, i have already used the search.. and still was not able to find what I was looking for.
I am looking for a simple (& free) software that allows me to convert "a part" of an mp3 file to wav. it seems like all the software you have suggested in this forum are capable of converting the WHOLE song to wav, which is just impractical if I am going to use it as a ringtone.
well, your suggestions will be greatly appreciated..

you can use nero wave editor, you can crop which part of the song you only want as your ringtone.

You can use WinAmp, it's fast, it's easy, it's freeware and the only thing you have to do is : Options > Preferances > Plug-Ins > Output > Nullsoft Disk Writer Plug-in (if you click the settings button you can ajust varius settings)

You can also go to Nokia, slect the 9210, download MultiMediaConverter, so you can convert mp3's and stuff to WAV

I will definitely try out the Winamp solution since i already have it installed.

for the 9210, will this software work on a PC or only on a 9210?
