Hi there.Am trying to make my p800 ring with a different tone when i receive an sms or mms.i go to system sounds- data and it doesnt matter what tone i select it always rings the default one.any ideas of how i can have another warning tone when i receive a massage? i may be missing somethin but thanks for your help.

Not only can the tone be changed but it can also use WAV files as well as midi files for the alert.

Nothing like Bender from futurama quoting "Im so excited, I wish I could wet my pants" every time you get a message LOL

Cheers sutarekoen, new there must be a way to change it - i've been trying this way:

pnone - edit preferences - sounds and alerts - ring(data)... DOH!!!! just presumed 'ring(data)' meant SMS!! DOH!!!
