Is £7.50/MB a lot or not?
What have you all got for data, Text and such?
Also, whenever i try to send a picture message using my oh-so-helpfully-customised T610, the recipient always gets a text saying 'go to this website to see the picture', which is crap, theres no fu***** point in sending them if they have to go on the internet to see them.
Same phone and all, we both have t610s, he is on 02, but i tried sending it to a Panasonic GD87 (both on voda, both identicle price plans), same thing happened, Who can be bothered to go to the website? Does anyone else have this problem?

You must make sure that your friends have got the media messaging switched on thru their provider. Its sounds as if they do not have this activated.
Also you can delete your post yourself by going into edit and then click on the tab saying delete this topic. This can only be done if no-one has replied

Hmmm. I DO have multimedia messages enabled.. and from certain providers I receive them straight to my phone... from others (in fact.. most!!) I receive a text message that tells me to go to a website too.
Same thing when I send summat out..... (i am on T Mobile NL) other have to go to the DUTCH T Mobile site to retrieve their message. Since most of my messages are to non-dutch speakers elsewhere in the world, this is tremendously annoying.
MMS to me really is a disappointment. If you cannot communicate from phone to phone... what's the point??
(coming to think of it...... I only got MMS delivered straight to the phone when NowMMS was still working. T Mobile never delivered to my phone
)
man I wish receiving small email attachments was possible!! Screw MMS

I am on the
Anytime 200 plan where data is charged at a more reasonable £2.35/MB but with the amount of data I use I am still looking for a cheap plan than that if I can!

On Connex (Vodafone) they charge 1 USD/MB with a 2 USD data subscription besides what you pay for voice. On Orange it's 2 USD/MB and for unlimited WAP they charge 4 USD/month. Orange reduced yesterday the MMS tariffs to 0.19 USD/message, but as vlam pointed out, it's plain crap - I'm limited to Orange national recipients.

Ha ha. In Mumbai, India BPL Mobile charges Rs. 200 (less than £ 3) per month for 100 MMS of any size and unlimited GPRS access. I can also receive MMS from anyone outside my network.

I went for the Anytime 100 plan - plus the £9-deal for £18 data; so effectively, I'm paying for data, rather than minutes I wouldn't otherwise use. I'm paying the higher tariff of £7.50 per MB tho' , which frankly I think is an outrageous rate - when you read of many SPs offering fixed rate per month/unlimited data GPRS.

Damn--- got vodafone and its not cheap! I have only checked with one other company yet, but its *3 cheapear compared to vodafone! Try to change if you can or just dont use

I am trying to change! stuck with voda for another year or so, I'm thinking of going to o2, I don't like orange, or the colour, or what they do to their phones, I'm thinking BT is the way to go.
