Has anyone noticed that if you have an SMS message open (as I seem to leave them sometimes), you won't get a sound alert if you recieve a new one? Say for example I recieve a message, leave it open and put my phone down, I can only tell I have a new one when I look at the phone and see the envelop...Or if I close the message the alert will be played. I am using R1A at the moment so I'm not sure if it's been fixed. Any ideas as to why this happens?

yes I think this is a 'feature' of most
phones. I leave it in the menu to sometimes and miss the alert.... hence do not see the message for ages
I'm afraid new fw will not resolve this.

I hadn't noticed this but I just tested it and you are quite right. As soon as you exit the message you have open you get the alert though.
I guess the thinking is that if you have a message open then you must be looking at the phone!
strange one!
