Z600 has active matrix lcd display. It means that every pixel is separetely driven. I had one for a few minutes. I found it bright and vivid. This message was posted from a T610

we seem to have a few parallel threads going but for completeness I will repeat here...

TFT is thin film transistor, TFD is thin film diode. TFD is better for mobiles etc and wrath000 has a good description here

i have played with z600 and i think that TFD screens are what i think more bright and more...."juicy" in colors and more visible in sun better than t610 screen (thats what i think)
