Ok, here are many people complaining of the size of Z600...
Well, here is a tip so you actually can feel the thickness right in your pocket and hand...

Just get 5 floppy discs and put them together.
Then the thickness is 27 mm... And the height is almost correct (93 mm instead of the Z600 90 mm).

The only thing that not is correct is the width...floppy discs are 89 and Z600 48.

Well, actually I think it fits VERY NICE in my pocket. No problem at all. So I will definiatelly get this phone when it is for sale.
What do you guys think about it?

Do the test and post your comments.... =)

Best regards, Patrik

I have some Japanese Sony Ericsson phones dummies that have the similar thickness with Z600. Compare with my T68i and T610, those clamshell phones are too thick for me to put into my pant pocket. I don't feel good when I am sitting and walking as they are too thick. On the other hand, T610 fits the pocket greatly and I do feel good.

For a clamshell phone 27,9 mm IS thick. Normal is 21-23 mm.

Id rather have a phone that was thicker and has a high build quality then a thinner phone that had problems.

I've seen to many phones that look so flimsy, they would surely break under normal conditions.

Sure the z600 could have been thinner but i reckon your not going to get a better clamshell phone with so many features on the market today,

wow! a three month old thread getting new life:-)

IMHO I think people worry too much about a few mm like they worry too much about a few grams in weight

the Z600 is only thicker when you are not using it, when you are using it its just longer!

Are you sure that shouldn't be more like 8-9 floppy disks in thickness? 5 floppies stacked together are still thinner than my T610...

Can we just drop the 'phatness' argument for a while?

There are those that wish to squeeze any phone in their tightest jeans. I can see how a Z600 would not be terribly comfi that way. (how ppl that had a Px00 dared make the same comment about Z600 thickness is well beyond me)

There are also those of us who like the shape and size of the Z600 and are happy with it.

This is the exact reason why build different models in the first place.

So let's all be content with our own preferneces for a while, instead of building yet another thread on 'how thick is this phone' or 'no it's not thick'

I agree, each to their own.
When I got my T610 I just loved the size of it (so small) and was unsure about changing to P800 as its much bigger. The P800 was the one I really wanted though and I'm so glad I've got one now. I don't even notice its size & I actually find it quite reasonable compared with what it is capable of!

So basically, get what you really want and you won't regret it.
