After waiting anxiously for the last week or so, we finally get the news... Z600/Z200... but wait... what's this

Frankly speaking I was expecting something better than the T610 but with a form factor (size/weight etc) similar to the T610. I must say I'm disappointed. The new phones and the anticipation/hype/response they have generated is a mere shadow of that done by the T610. Its almost like an anti-climax.

Ever since I got to use a T68i, I was fascinated with phones and have since then used the T610,T100,T65 and am currently using the P800.

I was planning to sell off the P800 and get the latest stuff from but it seems that I'll have to wait longer...

should have done better...

Why don't you pass judgement when you actually have the phones in your hand. Alot of people didn't like the T610 when it was first shown on the internet. Now its a top selling phone.

Z600 looks very good and it has ALL (for me at least).
That +1 cm in deepth could piss someone but anyway it looks like a winner.

i like the Z200 design, and i am verry pleased with the new SE phones. They know that they have to get more market share, by making the phones cheaper. If you want the full option phones, go for the P800 Z600 ore T610.

The newer models are for the younger users. who dont use bleutooth, email, ...

Why on earth would SE release something better than the T610 but with a form factor (size/weight etc) similar to the T610 if the T610 is STILL selling like hotcakes? That would make NO sense whatsoever.

october 1st is sonyericsson 2nd anniversary (alliance formed on tht day)

they have a very bad "celebration" last yr by just announcing T100, HPR-20 and HBH-60 only. Let see whether they will make more announcement this yr.

@alias:
First impressions usually come from the pictures/reviews on the Internet and are mostly lasting impressions. In spite of being a top selling phone, the T610 is still disliked by many simply because it not a Nokia...

@Oco:
The depth is not really an issue, its whats inside the phone that matters more to me. Otherwise, I wouldn't be using the P800...

@dimitrivd:
You are right... the Z200 does seem to look better as compared to the Z600 which kind of looks blocky and unimaginative.

@Rashkae:
Why on earth did release T610 in the first place, when T68i still sells very well. Why is preparing the P810/P900 when P800 is the best phone ever made ? has to keep on improving on its products. Bringing out a clamshell version of an existing model (with essentially a better screen) is almost like Nokia doing a "mix and match" to release models similar in looks/functionality.

I not saying that the Z600/Z200 are bad phones. It the Z600 was available right now, I would've bought one right away. But I yearn for a Z600 like the way I did for the T610. I've never waited/longed for phone ever in my life like I did for the T610. That's precisely why I was expecting the Z600 to be better than the T610.

as fas as i can see, se introduces the mighty clamshell z600 with exchangeable Style-Up covers. ..........Hmmmm.

This reminds me of some people here of accusing nokia using express-on covers......But hey! ain't life a bit*h?

hehehe

My only gripe with the new line-up is that they are all HUGE!!!!!

And I mean HUGE!!!! I find my P800 kinda big already.. these things are even fatter?!?!?!? Good grief... now we all need to get cargo pants just to lug these things around!
