> Sending Ringtones as pic message
Bookmark topic
My girlfriend has now got a T610 and she has the rubbish tones that come with the phone. I don't see her until Saturday and sent a ringtone as a pic message thinking she would be able to open it however she cannot extract the mid file.
What am I doing wrong or is their another way I can send my tones to her?
Also how do you extract a picture from a pic message into the pic folder?

To extract the midi sound file from a picture message in a t610, first make sure the sound icon is selected on the message (has running "ants" bordering it ... use the joystick) then select "more" then "set as ring signal". Check "my sounds" in the pictures and sounds folder and you'll notice that its been saved there. Just set another sound as ring signal if your intention was simply to save it.
To extract the picture from a picture message in a t610, first make sure the image is selected on the message (has running "ants" bordering it ... use the joystick) then select "more" then use either "set as wallpaper" or "screen saver". Check "my pictures" in the pictures and sounds folder and you'll notice that it's been saved there. Just set another image as wall paper (reapply the theme) or screen saver if your intention was simply to save it.
Hope this helps

Are you telling me that the T610 does not have the option to just save pic or ring from the message? (stand on icon, use joystick, save item..) like my T300 does??
That's a bit disappointing

You can save the sound or picture directly without setting is as a melody or wallpaper.

What is this "ants" thing, and how do I activate it? I have the mid and jpg file saved in my inbox however when it asks me to proceed all I can do is view, forward, reply or delete nothing about extracting the only way I can save them is as templates.

try it my way.. open the msg, do not click on "proceed", what you do is select which page wherein the midi or jpg you wanna save is (by keying the number of which page), and that's when u select on the jpg or the midi (with the musical note symbol), you'll see then running "ants" bordering the pic/symbol, and it'll give you the option to save it
