I've run into a problem with my T39m on WAP connection. For some reason, the security certificate is out of date and the phone is unable to establish a secure connection with my carrier's network. And there does not appear to be an option for me to update the security certificate.

Does anyone know of this problem? Any suggestion as to how I can fix it? And how is security certificates updated on WAP in general?

Thanks for any assistance.

Go to sonyericsson wap or web site. Register and have a password and an username. Go then SE wapsite and to software-submenu. And the is maybe over! This message was posted from a T39

Can you be more specific? I signed onto http://wap.sonyericsson.com/ and have followed to the Softwares menu. The only options I saw were "My Address Book" and "WAP configurator". The configurator option only led to the sending of settings but no security certificates.

Thanks very much for follow up info.

Problem solved after going to a higher level of support from my carrier.

By simply deleting all the security certificates (under wap profile "common"), I was able to get back in to all the secure sites. According to the support technician, Nokia phone provides an automatic option for updating these certificates while SE phone required manual deletion.

Surprised that no other SE users have reported this issue.
