why?? cos it charges the phone over USB without the normal charger plugged in

how?? i soldered together the two pins inside the cradle together-- the one for the charger +5V in and the one for the USB +5 in then put it all back together and stuck my phone on then voila!! charging over USB

thusly... my cradle rocks it still does all the normal stuff as well so there ya go...

cos if someone tries to power it off an underpowered USB hub then it will cause the USB ports to stop functioning lol.... also

Although I have a USB charger so my P800 is charged in its cradle and I have the original charger to take with me when I travel etc, could you please give the details of your mod, with pictures please.

Edit: So isn't it your P800 that rocks (coz that's what you actually changed); your cradle is exactly the same as everyone elses right?

But why would you want to solder the wires inside the phone and loose your warranty, when you can solder the wires inside the cradle...

or atleast thats what my logic says..

which wire in the USB Cable is The +5?? what colour is it, im gonna experiment, and as soon as i get it right, ill post it on here so for those of you that are brave, you can try it!

its only the cradle which i modified... NOT THE PHONE lol neway that doesnt change my warranty... neway i will post pics and pin-outs this evening.....
