but that is not the only one factor. my operator says it can be up to 100 kb, but only if the phone supports that large. so thats why i am asking..

ok well you should have made that clear in your question. I just tried to create an MMS and got to 226KB before I stopped so I would guess it is only limited by the memory available in your phone!
