My P800 is seen by the system fine, I use isync and it sees the phone but it says it can't connect.

Has anyone had any luck getting it to sync with iSync?

Yes and no, i'm afraid.

Yes: with my PowerBook G4 running OS X 10.2.6 I can sync the Address Book via Bluetooth only.

No: can't sync iCal yet - need to wait for iSync 1.2 for that, which I believe is being worked on as we speak - although Apple officially is saying nothing at all which is very unhelpful.

For a full set of tips to connect the phone to iSync, use the www.apple.com web site (head for support section).

Not with a p800 but with tons of t68i's and t610's. I remember that i think the p800 doesn't support everything in isync so you'll have to wait for 1.2 to arrive (as mentioned by someone else in this thread). Also make sure you have a clear connection with your phone and the p800 (not being more than ten meters away). Also make sure you're mac is running 10.2.6, as that seems to add a lot of stuff to bluetooth. Also finally make sure you are running isync 1.1 as earlier versions do not support p800 ! Both problems (BT connection and iCal sync) can and have been solved. First the "legal" BT problem can be solved by downloading and installing the latest (around July) BT version from Apple. It bears the same number as the one installed in 10.2.6 but the results are really different. I do not loose a connection now, ever. In fact the other day I quit my office in mid sync with my phone, came back 20 seconds later and both kept syncing.
The iCal problem can be solved by hacking the iysnc files to enable iCal support which is present but disabled for now. It works and the hack can be found on this forum.
Latest info is that I've played with a pre-release of Panther and synced my P800 on the new system. I was hoping that iCal support would include translating iCal "calendars" into P800 "categories". It is not the case unfortunately.
