> How can I block incoming calls?

I've got a SE T300, and I wanna block incoming calls from a specific number, is this possible?

I don't know much abt T300. But in T68i there is an option in MANAGE CALLS - ACCEPT CALLS. However if you don't have this option then create a blank ringtone and assign it to the number you don't want to answer. So you will not be alerted next time call arrives from that number.

Surely you should be able to ask your network to block that caller for you for 'harassment', whatever. You used to be able to do that with land-line networks, although I haven't had one of those for years
Personally I wouldn't wanna block anyone

MANAGE CALLS - ACCEPT CALLS - ACCEPTED LIST option, I believe will be your best bet.
You can easily block or unblock any caller listed in your phonebook without going through the hassle of requesting from your network provider.
It is a long process. Create groups first then place members in the group. In the ACCEPT LIST, choose the groups you want. It works the other way around - instead of BLOCKING calls, you are creating a list of the calls that you will accept.
Note that all unlisted numbers in your phonebook will also be blocked. But at least, all callers that are blocked will appear as MISSED CALLS on your call list.
The phone does NOT really block the call but rather rejects the call and sends a busy signal to the caller. The caller hears only about 1 ring in his/her phone then gets a busy signal.
Only calls are blocked/rejected. SMS will still be accepted.
Overall, comparing upside to its downside, it's still a good feature which is very helpful especially when you group according to priority of importance.

simply create a group w/ accepted list
of your own
put it in one of the profile
then select that profile in use
simple..
think it works w/ most
phones

Unfortunately, I have yet to see a phonebook manager software for T610 that works like Nokia's PC Suite 5.0 where you can actually manage phonebook contacts to the last detail - including groupings. What a shame huh ?
Anyway, in the absence of a said similar software, I don't think there's a fast way except putting them into the groups using the phone one-by-one. Downside of course, is the fact that the phone limits (a) the number of groups you can create and (b) the number of members into each group. And by members, we do not mean PER CONTACT but rather per entry into each contact, right ?
Just correct me if I am wrong because I surely want to improve this considering that I am using this feature heavily to screen incoming calls. Those that are not in my accept list are automatically diverted to my voicemail.
