There are a number of bugs in R8, its worse in my view than R6 (my previous). Access time to menus from the main screen is way too slow, even turning on the keypad lock takes longer. Also GIF screensavers run at a slower (is that possible) frame rate. The new games aren't really worth the upgrade. Path has a few bugs, i dont know about the other games, but its the little things that are annoying.

Anyone else had these troubles

I had my phone upgraded to R8 from R2 and it seems the same! Maybe I needed to experience the said wonders of R6

I have not had any problems with the new software..but I dont play the games much and GPRS for me was always bad (orange)

The only bonus for me though was the ability to use zoom and effect on my MCA25 which is nice

No, I'm pretty sure it's the phone having trouble.

But lucky for me, it seemed to have ironed the speed problem out. So I'm happy again. Maybe it needed time to 'adjust' to its new brain, hehe.
