I have been reading reviews about the t610

Is the screen really that bad?
Is it a good fone?
Are there many games on offer from vodafone live?

The screen is not bad. It's great the only draw back is poor visibility on a sunny day. I have had mind since July and I love it. Image quality is really good! This message was posted from a WAP device

Best advice is to get down to your nearest shop and have a play with one.
I think most here will agree that you wont be dissapointed, when its in your hand you'll love it.

One of my mates has a t300, and i compared it to my '610, and my screen quality was about 1000 times better! My only complaints are that the camera doesnt work too well at night(!) - you know what i mean, and it is harder to see the screen in bright environments... But they are a small price to pay for what i believe is the best phone on the market... Hope this helps! This message was posted from a T610

I don't have the phone, but I've noticed some things that are worth mentioning.

The viewing angle of the screen is rather small, so if you don't look at the phone directly from the front the colors might be off and the image might be blurry.

Secondly, don't count on using the Java support too much, since in its current version it's rather poor. It's only about half as fast a the Nokia Series 40 Java, and it doesn't support Java access to Bluetooth, IR (correct me if I'm wrong on that one) or GPRS through sockets (meaning most Instant Messenger Applications don't work. No multiplayer over Bluetooth either). It might be fixed in a future firmware update.

The display picks up dust and finger prints easily, but a cleaning cloth is included in the package.

It could also have had more internal memory availible for the user. Only 2 Mb.

If you're thinking of getting a Vodafone branded T610, you should know that a lot of people think the new menu icons are really ugly. The handy "More" quick button has also been changed into a direct link to the Vodafone Live wapsite.

Other than that, it's an excellent phone. Very compact. I won't be getting it though, since I'm looking for a phone with good Java support and a lot of memory for images and applications. I don't have enough money for a P800, so I'll probably get a Nokia 3650 . I refused to be biased towards any brand.

Hi Larry! I've had the phone 4 a month now and I'm extremely happy with it! The drawback of the poor screen visibility during sunny days can be easily overcome by using a Theme like the B&WYY or the Classic, camera is good, games are OK (Java do not know as I'm not interested) Mohpun games are fine, it is a really great fone go for it...but stay away from Vodafone, they modfied it too much and they do not deserve the money, go for Orange or TMobile...
Ciao!

not only at night. it's perfect in terms of the pic resolution, it's only that as long as its a bit dark, even with the night mode on, there tends to be nothing on my camera (..my only prob so far)

@polpetta, what's a B&WYY??
