Yes the T610 can play video. Though I'm not sure how long the video can be. Check with SE customer service for more info. Good luck:-) This message was posted from a T300

T610 doesnt support video files. I mean if it did, then there would be a 'My videos' section in 'Pictures & Sounds'!, although if the video is converted to a Gif (with really low frames), and ofcourse small size, then you may just get to have it on ur t610..

I doubt they will feature video recording in a future f/w. If they really wanted to implement it they might have done so on the t620, but I think SE had no plans to do this when designing the phone due to the measly 2Mb of memory.

What about streaming.? Does the t610 support this, or can it be implemented through java.? This message was posted from a T610

It doesn't support streaming and it probably won't because the java support on the phone is very poor.

Sorry, but the video recording info was wrong. This is now corrected.

Yep, the t610 can play video's using OplayerJV, though it is not officially supported for t610, it runs ok on it. It can't capture vid's cause SE wont release the cam API for t610 and, as mentioned, too little memory.
