I'm a little bit of a hobbiest when it comes to ringtones for phones (done it for a few years now to kill boredom whilst travelling to work).

If I did a few, what format would people prefer them in? RMF, Mid, Wav, MP3?

For the P800 I usually use .wav format for my ringtones even though they use 1-2 megs of space... cause the 16-voice polyphonic is very poor... and unless you download a Midi-Booster most Midis sound terrible, and the midi-booster takes about 5-10 seconds to start playing the Midi, so for me... I'd recieve a call and have 2 seconds to anwser it before it forwarding to my voice mail...

I'd definitely want it in the wav format. It sounds loud and clear.
do you have sample ringtones that you can share? where can I download them?

If you have wav ringtones of current Billboard chart toppers (segments of a song will do...) please let me know.

thanks

Most t610 users, like me ;-) , would agree on 32 poly midi tones. This message was posted from a WAP device

Yep wav is definitely the way to go, best quality and best customisation Just record a bit from your favorite tune...or mumble something in the microphone yourself

Guys, Forgive me if I am covering something again but have looked and can't find this info. I have just finished converting my Mp3 to Wav, then taking a sample of the song about 2000k 20 seconds, then run a program wav_converter taken of from nokia site and it's only 100k, so with a bit of hassel you can convert any mp3 to your ringtone, the whole song 32 000k to 1400k so you could have the whole song used as ringtone as well as for listening.
Cheers
