Spent most of the day looking on the web for the best resources to learn how to program the P800. Having done a fair bit in the past on my Nokia's without a problem, I've just learnt that I can't use MS VC++ because Symbian don't support it!

What a shame, I was hoping to have a blast with it, looks like I'll have to learn Java again

What you should do is record a message on your P800 saying nice things to yourself. Then when your feeling down just play it back, hey presto your phone is talking to you and perking you up.
Just add 'therapist' to the list of P800 uses!

Why not? My wife bought a siemens SL55 (awe come on don't laugh, it's cute for a girlie phone). Anyway on there is a program called "relaxation" or summat. All it does is show a slideshow of 'calming' photos with a 5 second looping audio of birds tweeting or waves!

Come on, who's for it. The EsatoTherapist only on

Yeah I did look, but if you notice it says that you must compile with code warrior. Also, if you look in the forums, there is much debate over dropping support for VC++ because the libraries are incompatable.

The short answer is yes, you can program under VC++ for Symbian Series 60, and it's supported and acknowledged, but VC++ under Series 70 is not supported, nor is it acknowledged.
