First of all I would like to say you sorry for the length of this message, that will probably be more than I expected, and of course, for its meaning, which I think could bore someone.
I'm a 20 years old Italian boy, and although I don't write much in this forum, I often read all its threads, especially those regarding the MMS upgrade for T68m.

Now (because SonyEricsson web site reports it) we know that T68m=T68i, thus the second has neither more memory neither advanced speed neither anything else, just a look that I personally judge worse than the T68m one.
We also know we wil be able to upgrade our T68m to a T68i near mid-May.

Now the question is: Why in the past weeks some of you guys continued to write everything about this problem, including that T68i was faster, had more memory or that we couldn't have been able to upgrade our phones, or that we should have paid for this (and of course many and many other things...)?

Now that we know that ALL OF THIS IS FALSE, the only thing we should think about the people who wrote this are:

1) These guys are mad and they write things they dreamed the night before.

2) These guys are a$$hole$ and just want to throw some mess on this argument.

3) These guys are very ignorant and so they deduced false facts about this argument.

Even after the FCC specs. of the 2 models were revealed, some people continued to go on throwing more junk in the box, writing strange things like that the T68i has longer battery life because its core chip was built with a thinner productive process and so on....

As long that I read the FCC specs. I deduced those things:

The two models MUST be the same, but with different plastic casings.
My thesis was also supported by some my other thinkings/questions:

1) Is it more affordable for SE to develop 2 different (but very similar)phones with different hardwares and softwares (and different total production costs of course), or to develop one unique phone with 2 different plastic enclosures and sport the MMS & other SW improvements beginning with the new version (T68i)?
2) As long as the T68m was advertised with MMS support included, SE WILL HAVE TO let its users upgrade to a SW version which contains MMS.
SO:
Is it more affordable for SE to develop (and of course to support) two different softwares (one for T68i with MMS&extras and one for T68i with only MMS and not any extras like themes etc.)?

Of course the answers to these questions are in each case the last ones.

1)It would have been too cost defective to develop two different phones from the beginning.

and...
2)Of course would have been to cost defective to develop 2 different softwares only because as advertised T68m should only have had MMS and not other extras like themes or file system etc.

So guys, next time THINK MORE AND WRITE LESS

Probably now I have bored you, but I think someone will however appreciate my findings.

Thank you all of you for reading this.

Marco

P.S.= And sorry if I did some mistakes with my poor English.

It's always easy to write these things when you have the official facts on a paper (or a web site).. And maybe the people that wrote their theories enjoyed it and if you're not interested you don't have to read it..

I know someone would have answered so.

I posted it only now because if I posted it before, I could have risk to say false things, but now I know that my findings were not false by any meaning.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I only wanted to be a bit objective.

Posting it after SE have published their official information doesn't make you objective at all in my opinion.. People duscussing these things and trying to find out the reason for not releasing the update for the T68m are the objective people..

MARCO > As Oskar is saying,..its very easy to be right, when you have it all on paper NOW.
But this "paper" just appeared....it hasnt been there always.

Well,..its not being objective,..its just called "reading".

And no, people are not either idiots or a$$hole$ or dreamers in here.
Its got nothing to do with that !
The problem is THIS : we all seem to get different information from various service-points, SE/support and other articles/websites.

It was also "very official" that the mms-upgrade would be in week 10,..that was then changed to week 16,..and now its week 20.

Its the lack og information or the false information, that produces all these different points of views.
People in here dont do this on purpose ! We're not trying to mislead each other,..we're trying to help each other. Thats what this forum is about

Think what you like, but I wanna still know if "people continuing to say that the upgrade was not free and that the T68i was faster/ more capable" is deliberatly false or if only made a mistake.

Personally I think most of them are only FALSE and not objective.

Of course I don't want to label all of you, I said "most of them", not all

Thank you Jan, but as you said: "False information" is the cause, and I would like to know where this false infos came from.

And I know it is simple to post some things only now that SE has confirmed them, but why not believe me? I never said anything false like someone-else (being they SE dealers or forum users).

Next time I will post on time (sorry for the repeat ), please keep in mind that I spent 30mins. to write/correct my first post of this topic. I wouldn't have wasted that time only to add more confusion.

Thanks,
Marco

MARCO > It doesnt really matter if you said "some" or "all",..because thats not the issue.

People in here usually dont give information they know are false.

people tell the information, that they are being told by e.g. service-points, SE or others.

They dont tell untrue stories on purpose. They only tell, what they are being told,..yes the information might be wrong,..but they dont know that,...how should they know if information is true or false, when everybody are told different things ?

The whole idea of this forum is so that people can exchange ideas and information that the have gathered. People on this site are always eager to listen to peoples views and things that they have heard so this makes them objective and in my opinion makes you seem a little pompose. People have the freedom to exchange information and if you dont wish to read it or believe it then thats fine!

PR24 > Correct,..thats the whole idea of a forum

The "only" bad thing is, that we all seem to get different info, from different places. That can really mess things up.
But on the other hand, it also makes people think even more about it, and seach even more for the "real info",...thats a good thing

We get "around" each issue,..as one might say
