My P800 Speaker is buzzing quite badly when on speaker phone, is there anyway to solve this problem?

Does the problem go away if while on speakerphone you lower the volume by rotating the Thumb-wheel downward?
Is it some kind of speaker feedback?

My P800s speakerphone only usually buzzes if i am very close to certain electronic devices and the sound quality varies somewhat on certain incoming & outgoing phonecalls, though i find that when playing mp3 files through the internal speakerphone the sound is very crisp and clear.

Its simply feedback. And it depends on how close you are to other electronics etc as to how bad the feedback/interference will be.
Sometimes I get no problems sometimes the problem is really bad.
Also you have to appreciate that you use the Loud Speaker option to hold a conversation, the person on the other end of the line will get terrible feedback. This is coz the Speaker and Microphone on the P800 are pretty close to each other so the person on the other end can hear their own voice being fed back to them on the line.
If you really want to do a lot of Hands Free/Loud Speaker conversations you should buy the desktop stand designed for this purpose and detailed on the Sony Ericsson website (although I am not quite sure if its available for purchase just yet)

... erm... i'm just taking a guess... but i think your speaker is busted.. it's like headphones where if you on them to sound at one stage , it'll have that irritating sound behind? .. or it might be something else.. good luck with it !!

When i put my P800 on speaker phone it buzzes quite badly, when i looked at the speaker part i noticed that the mesh that covers it was slightly folded and loose. could this be the culprit and if so how do i take the shell off to fix it properly, if it is not the culprit can you advise me on what is?
