Bookmark topic
I just bought a bluethooth device to conncet my phone to my pc .
But i am unable to make a connection of dialupnetworking as i make through cable . i can send and recv files through blue thooth but cant make dialupnetworking wizard work ...!
Can anyone tell me how to connect to internet via bluethooth .. how to make the connection ?
the installation of bluethooth has make several ports like com 4 to com14 in phone like properties .
do i have to check any of them like we do to connect it via cable .?
or i have to do some modifications in my phone ?

Check in Device Manager which (Client) serial port Bluetooth is using. Then you create a new DUN connection using that port as your modem port for dialup. It should work.
Alternatively, If you've setup your phone using the communication suite then you should have Bluetooth Modem in your list of modems.

no no no, thats silly talk
(helll\, it might work but its too much work)
just get opera browser. start it up (make sure your connected to the pc via BT, serial connection will do) and that it, oh choose gprs too. if ur fone account has gprs enabled, u can use 'flight' mode to not connect (mine isnt gprs so i'm not too sure). but if the gprs signal starts up then u know its not working.
good luck

huh?
wat do you mean then?
do you want to use your p800 as a modem?
or do you want to use the computers dialup connection as a 'passport' to an internet connection and use the phone as the interface?
u know, if u want (and u can afford it) the fone can ring up your ISP and get online in that way...
tell me (us) exactly wat u want to do...

I think he wants the P800 to ring his ISP and act as a connection to the internet, so that he can browse via his PC....

no,
i just want to use my phone as a modem but i want to ask how do i do it..
the dialup connection will be made through pc suite dialup networking wizard or there is some other way to do it manually ....
when i connect my pc to my ph via bulethooth and start dialupnetworking wizard , then the wizard is not able to locate my phone....thats the prob
my question is that is there any other way to do it manually ?
ONE MORE THING PPL SAY THAT THEY ARE USING INTERNET ON OPERA BROWSER ON PC VIA BLUETOOTH WHATS THAT ??

oh, i think i get ya now...
i dunno wat BT software ur using, but there should be a serial port connection. in other words, when ur fone is connected via bt u should still get the fone icon in the system tray. essentially all it does is emulate the cradle, so u make the computer think its in the cradle and it should work.
to use opera as a browser, just connect to the computer via BT as above. make sure the computer is connected to the net (dialup, adsl, watever) and open opera. choose gprs as the connection service and if ur connected to the puter it should get online with the computers connection and not the actual gprs account...u follow?
