Hey guys I'm lookin into getting a T610 after being pissed off an extreme with the P800. Many questions I'd like answered though, can anyone help?
How many lines of text can ya get? Can the T9 learn new words? is it quick with T9? *main concern*
is there an ability to download an msn application?
Vibration strength, general loudness of ringtones?
Speakerphone?
You can't change message tones?!?
Last thing.. I've seen complaining the phone doesn't inform you when you have messages... how do u tell when u hav em then??

yes..to my surprise it can!! i found it really amusing..

i type faster than it can..and it all comes out perfect..when i type perfectly that is..

MSN..i dont think so..but u can use the cMessenger thingo

Vibration for the phone is good..loudness..erms..even on the loudest volume u cant really hear it..apparently cuz its polyphonic..but i read there is software to increase the volume..read other threads concerning it..

Nope..no speakerphone..wonder if they can implement it from the firmware?? since its got voice recognition for speed dialing..but hey..when i get the bluetooth headset i wont be complaining..

Yeah u can change message tones..not sure if u can use ur own downloadable/personal tones..hold on ill check *cHeCkS* funny i never checked it before..u cant change it to ur own tones..only the ones preset onto the phone..

Yeah thats true..i sometimes even miss my 'miss calls'..its the same for messages..i guess u just have to check them every now or so

The phone does inform you when you get messages. The main complaint is that you don't see this information while the screen is off (you have to press a button so the screen lights up, then you can see the icon for pending messages)

May I ask why are you so pissed with your P800
I've never played with one, but understood there were really nice bits of kit, apart perhaps from size and battery life.
I'd be interested to know what you felt are it's bad points.

Oh yeah the P800 is top quality features wise, there's not a lot the phone can't do. The main gripes with me are
1, You can't whip it out anywhere in London without fear of it getting nicked due to the wow factor. (less important)
2, Personally I can't stand the menu system and the ease of use. It requires 2 hands and a very steady hand, and very often whilst your on the train or bus it jogs and you end up in the wrong application. After that if you want your P800's battery to stay on for a long time apparently you have to enter a different app to close it totally.
Well there's a lot more which I can go into but I've just felt the effects of tiredness. In short I need a phone primeraly for texting and phoning and whilst I'm on the move it's quite inconvenient. Although having said that it's music player is really handy whilst your on the move.
I feel like I keep going round in circles here but it does well in every aspect apart from the actual phone ability. Also the size is slightly offputting.
