I was lucky enough to get a look through the new 2004 product year Sony trade catalouge today.
This showed the product line up for the Sony memory Stick range for the coming 6 months (as far as UK mkt is concerned)
OK, here goes,
Standard Blue Memory Sticks, aftermarket 32, 64, 128 & 128+128MB
Magic gate White Memory Sticks, 64, 128MB
Memory Stick Pro (with Magic Gate) 256, 512MB, 1GB
Memory Stick Duo Standard (Blue) 32, 64, 128MB
Memory Stick Pro Duo (with Magic Gate) 256, 512MB, 1GB
The following products are discontinued;
Memory Stick Duo Magic Gate (white) 64, 128MB
Stated reason, is duplication of range. Only 2 products currently support MS Duo, the SE P800 smart phone, and the NS70 network walkman. The NS70 needs Magic Gate, BUT it has MS Pro compatability built in, and the P800 has NO need for Magic Gate, as it only uses MS for data, and MP3 for the phone is treated as a data source not copy protected music, so the cheaper Blue Memory Stick Duo is suitable for the P800.
Hope this clears up any issues.
PS The projected date for shipping of ALL the new MS is October 2003. (plus 2 months for good measure!! LOL)

128+128- that's great news, We can have 256mb in our p800!!

The 128 &128MB is only a standard MS, NOT a Duo, so unless you use the special rear jkt, your stuck with 128MB blue Duo as the max size.
