RIAA - The recording industry association of America?? didn't they just arrest about 260 individuals for downloading mp3's?? One of them was a little girl downloading nursery rhymes off kazaa!! very suprised to here this as i thought with Peer-to-peer it was safe. .. . . could be the start of the end of 'free music' ??

The end of free music ?? Hell no, check DirectConnect, eMule, Overnet, Gnutella network, Bittorent, FTP, ........ . For now I recommend bittorent if the file your looking for is recent and very popular and Directconnect.

Cheers

I heard that music companies are now putting virus in MP3 music and then releasing them to the web.

The Virus is meant to totaly distroy your computer!!

My understanding is that the way an MP3 file is structured makes it very hard if not impossible to infect it with a virus. Maybe if people go downloading .exe files, but that's their lookout! The worst you can do with a music track is download 3 minutes of static noise or a loop of Madonna asking you what the **** you think you are doing!

erm zen master i dont really know what it means like but it is a bruce lee quote and therefore really cool!

@haydnw
yes haydnw you are right you cant place a virus in a mp3 file as it is not executable. for the moment in my opinion blubster is by far the best peer to peer avalible for sharing mp3 because it is fast and doesnt log your IP and so you cannot be traced through the network
