Surely if I'm using GPRS to surf the WAP net, my phone should be able to receive calls? ( putting GPRS to background/on hold, while prioritisng the call?) but having tried to call my phone when using GPRS found my calls are being directed to voice mail...?

I gave the exact same answer today. Please use the search in the future. This is what you need to do: edit your GPRS data account and under the Allow calls option select Automatic instead of GPRS only.

@slattery: you misunderstood. The option you are talking about controls whether or not GSM and GPRS are used or only GSM. His GPRS is working, but his calls don't get through because he has the Allow calls option set to GPRS only. This option can be found in Connect-Data comm-Data accounts then editing the GPRS account you are using to connect. Be aware that this options can be set independently for each GPRS account. Good luck!
