Hmmm, weird one this, my phone has always been setup with the default installed apps first then all the "user" installed apps after! I have gotten used to this, i prefer it!
But a weird thing just happened, i was playing strategic assault, an app which i have compressed with stacker normally (don't play games too often on my phone, usually playing UO on my PC, anyhoo i digress). The wife phoned me, i answered and the phone went automatically back into strategic assault, weird i though, as well as a pain in the nuts.... because she couldn't hear me but could hear random strategic assault sound affects!
Anyhoo, after the strange conversation, i quited out of Strategic assault and my icons were all to fook!
All icons in perfect alphabetic order! So handy stuff like the phone, video, messages etc that are normall on the "first screen" were after a long scroll down!
Try as i might i couldn't find a way to re-sort the icons back to their standard setup!
Any idea's on how this happened and how to fix it in future! At the moment i just reverted back to a backup from a week ago, thankfully only a couple of small changes to setup since then!

I wish I could alphabetise my app list! If anyone does know (or figures out) how this was done please post. Mind you it would be good to have a way to reverse the effects.

Apparently Sman fixes it! And its free!
Nah mate, you don't want it properly alphabetised, its a pain in a plums! Especially as the phone and SMS options are miles down the screen!

its something that happened on the previous fimrwares. If you installed too much or managed to use up to much working memory the applist lost its order. i was well chuffed when this happened to me as it was a lot better / easier when everything was in alphabetical order als after my r2f upgrade it has gone back to SE order no matter what i try.

This happened to me about a week after getting the phone - didn't think much of it at the time, and I didn't know how I did it (the phone was certainly not clogged with apps).
I'm glad it happened, I like it that way!
(I have R2F)
Edit:
FYI - SMan doesn't fix it, there is a command "Fix Applist", I have run it. It's there to bring back the app list when it dissapears altogether (apparently it happens sometimes).
