Firstly i have this really irritating O2 screensaver where a bubble floats up, crap, which is takin up 200kb of my memory leaving me with hardly any space to take pics. How can i get rid of this pre defined item, just this one, it is the only thing on the phone that i wish to get rid of.

Secondly whenever a ringtone comes on it starts quite and gets louder, this is also crap and irritating, especially since i have not got it turned on to increasing ring, is it possible to sort this.

And a third note, whats the latest firmware and what are the added benefits to the origianl firmware, as in what difference does it make

1, You can't remove that predefined iten, unless you flash your phone or somthing.

2, You cant change the increasing ring tone. T610 only has one speaker for both voice and ringtones, and therefore they have it starting low incase somone for an unknown reason has their ear to the speaker when the rign starts, and defens them. A possible solution is to edit your midi and make the first 4 or 5 seconds of it scilence, and then when it plays, it will start loud.

3, Dont know what the latest firmware is... do a search because I saw a post in here giving a link to a site that shows the latest firmware.

3b, A firmware update makes you phone slighty faster and I think it lets you change the exposure of your camera... It definatly makes screensavers and annimated objects move a LOT smoother than the jerky screensavers you have now.

Im waiting untill they find a fix for the picture size bug, then I'm gonna update my firmware. Thats Why the screensaver is 200KB, each frame is saved in a raw format for viewing.

1. You cannot remove just that, thats y there are sim free models without that shit
2. You cannot stop that. say its to 'protect your ears'
3. There is a site with all latest firmware on it. Search

I just got my 610 and the latest firmware is R1L013...

And is a little stupid about the ear-protecting thing... When you dial a number and the person you are calling doesn't answer the phone, it asks you to redial... And normally, most of the people put the phone to their ear after they press redial and mostly, they get their ear hurt and don't hear a thing for 2-3 minutes because the phone gives you a loud polyphonic alert to tell that the connection is made... How smart is that? (By the way, I didn't test it on the new firmware so don't know if it is fixed...)
