Argh!!! I sent my phone to the wonderful people at Celestica who not only took over a month to get back to me but forgot to even repair it. I had to phone them repeatedly to find out about the situation, having to wait for 20 minutes (on hold) each time...
They first said that it had been fixed and that it would be sent out the next day. A few days later and no phone, so I called to find out what was going on and I was told that it hadn't even been repaired! Again I was told that by the end of the week they would get a new batch in and I would receive one of those. Another week and a half went by. Another phone call and they were supprised to see that my phone had still not been repaired and a new one hadn't been sent out.
When I finally did receive my phone, it was a reconditioned model (W19) with the latest firmware but now I get the error tone going off every few minutes without touching the phone (the one that plays when you try and go into a greyed out menu item)...
What should I do? I really don't want to deal with Celestica ever again! Would SE be kind enough to replace this handset?

I have a similar story. I sent one of my T610s to them on 15th August to get the hiss fixed and a red casing on it. After many calls to find out what is going on (with 20 - 40 mins waiting time to get through) I finally found last week that they were waiting for the red casing to come into their stock. Since I had already bought a red one to go with my blue one I told them to cancel that part but be sure to fix the hiss. A representative whose name I took not of said they would personally take care of the new arrangement and a week later my phone came back to me, as I said, yesterday, nearly 1 month after sending to them.
I found that they had not fixed the hiss at all and indeed sent the phone back without the back battery cover.
I spent a further 25 mins on the phone and got no appology whatsoever and was told they would send me out a back cover and that I should send the phone back to them to get the hiss fixed which I duly did yesterday.
I called SE to complain and was told it was nothing to do with them as Celestica is a 3rd party company but was given a po box for SE that I could write to to lodge a complaint.
Ha... why bother I say. Lets see how long it takes them to fix the hiss on my original Aluminium Haze now! I'm just glad I have my other T610s to use while they get their act together.
It always amazes me when this is their main business how companies can stay in business with this kind of attitude to service.

I think I'll put up with the 'random tone generator' of a phone that has been sent back to me and praise the lord that I'm not sending it back to their incompetent hands...
I can't believe they actually quoted me "a guaranteed 5-10 day turn-around time", Haha! What a joke.

yeah they quoted me the same. Even told me they had the volcanic red casing in stock. Several times they sent what they called a 'chaser' to find out the status of my phone but ever 2 or 3 days they had to send another chaser becuase the first one had not responded.
Fingers crossed that I can at least get the hiss fixed now on that phone so I have a saleable phone!
