Hi, i have a T610, when ive entered a number i press the "more" key (right hand) and i have a list:
call and hide ID
call and show ID
I dont know if this is the same for your phone

It's not.
When I go into menu, calls, next call.... there is an optionhide my number. However, this option is greyed out om my phone and when I press it is says 'There is no phone number entered' so maybe you can only do this for specific numbers/groups and not set it as a default?

You enter the number or select it from your phonebook then press the option key and select 'Hide my number'. Be advised that you need to do this procedure every time you want to hide your number. You can also find out your default setting by typing *#61# then pressing YES. This code was mentioned in a thread earlier this week.
