> Cloning my P800
Bookmark topic
Hi all,
I have broken my p800 and the phone insurance has sent me a replacement P800.
I need to create a 'clone' of my old phone onto my new. Will a simple backup and restore of my old phone onto the new do this ?
Any hints and tips on this procedure ?
Thanks inadvance..

yeh it will, only problem is that if you have purchased any programs that use IMEI's to create registration codes then you might become a bit stuck. The companies should send you out a new code though, if they are nice.
obviously if you haven't "bought" any programs then you should be fine, which is pretty ironic. Anyway, yeh, a backup and restore will work fine.
I would reccommend installing all programs over again and transferring just the contacts.cdb and messages folders though so you have a nice fresh phone, depends on how much you've messed up your old one tho.
hope that helps,
Daz.
