In the t68i if i used the volume slider when on the main screen it gave me the status of the phone, the volume buttonms do this on the t610, but on the t610 is it possible to find out exactly, well roughly, how much time is left of batterylife, for talktime and stanby, as to be honest in terms of time a little battery bar isnt quite as useful.

The short answer is no - they removed it (apparently) because it was unreliable
