if your originally supplied headset ever fails, it can not be replaced under warranty anymore. Because according to SE they are no longer available. You have to get the business kit if yours ever fails. This was discovered after the headset on my new p800 stopped working on one side... after one month of playing telephone tag between SE and my service provider. Real poor product support hmmm???? WAKE UP SE, CUZ THATS CRAP!!! even if they are in R&D with the p800's replacement they should still fully support the current handsets...

Sorry, i am just pissed off!!! because this phone is brand new and the headset was giving me problems from the get go.

mmm thats interesting as i had the exact same problem with my p800 headset - one side failed.

i rang se service centre last week and sent off my headphones and yesterday recieved a brand new pair under warranty

also the headphones are now available as a standalone product so the reason of 'no longer having stock' is surely invalid.

maybe you should give another ring or if you want u can pm me and ill give u the address to send ya 'phones to along with the warranty code you have to provide

the SE headphones are surprisingly shit for such an exspensive phone maybe SE could have struck a deal with Sony to produce some GROOVE range head phones with 2.5 sockets or even just put a 3.5 socket on the p800 to begin with!

another example of a company making products specifically for the money not for the heck of making a quality product which would make just a litle bit less money.

Any way under sales of goods act 1974 if the head set fails (and your in england!) you have every right to have the product you paid for fixed / replaced.

I checked with SE USA and as of today they say that the headsets are no longer available "alone" therefore they could not send me one under warranty....

Still available in the UK???? guys if someone can get their hands on an extra one under warranty send it to me via collect mail or something... pluuueeezzzzeee

*** no i cannot order the business kit, i lost all my credit cards after a bad car accident and have to wait to rebuild my credit, until then cash only, but thanx anyway *** as it is not available here in canada.
