> Recommend me a non SE BT Headset
Bookmark topic
Hi all,
I m looking to invest in a Bluetooth headset in order to comply with the new UK law on car hands free.
I don't fancy having the crackling problems that the SE headsets seem to have, so can someone recommend a headset that they are using with no problems with the T610.
All help much appreciated.
Thanks

Usually, any audio quality problems with SE headsets are firmware related and are USUALLY solved with an update.
One thing though... Ericsson invented BT and they have the LEAST number of problems with compatibility and audio quality.
The only other headset I would recommend over SE is Bluespoon. These guys make, AFAIK, THE best BT headsets... and they don't scrimp on components or design.
But they are also the most expensive headsets on the market.
If I were you, get the HBH-30 or HBH-35. I've never had any problems with my 30, on all my SE/Ericsson phones... I've used it with the Ericsson T68m, T68i, R310s w/ DBA10, and my current P800... with no problems.

Until my HBH-30 was stolen along with my car, I have to say it was the best headset I have ever had. Used it with my R520m (also stolen ) my T68m, T68ix2, P800. Worked perfect with them all except the P800 which was a range problem with the P800 and not a fault with the headset. I now have an HBH-35 and this headset seems to be a little better, seems alittle bit more comfortable to wear, and the range away from the phone is alot better. I sometimes drive a coach, and with the HBh-30, I could walk the full lenght of the coach, and still have a conversation, but it did start to break up near the back. Tried this the other day with the HBH-35, and the quality of call was as good at the back of the coach as it was right next to the phone. I agree that SE are the best headsets to buy for allround quality price and compatability.

Ok, since the topic said NON SE headsets
I will give you my 2 cents..
Personally i am gonna buy the Plantronics M3000 since it fits _my_ ear better than my current HBH30 and standby and talk time is absolutely great.
I have friends who use Jabra ...200? i think itīs called. Nice headset, good value for money, but the sound is a bit "wolly" i think..
Have never tried Bluespoon, think itīs too much money for a headset, regardless of how good it is.
Well, thatīs MHO anyway
See if you can try the different headsets in store and decide for yourself!
Cheers!

No it was not a Volvo it was a Kia Sedona MPV top of the range with all the kit added such as DVD entertaiment system and so on. Any way I had a Jabra BT200, and found it to be OK, but the sound was too loud and distorted at times. Tried a plantronics one and could not get away with it. So I have stayed with good old SE ones. In the end it is up to personal choice and mine is the HBH-35 for all round fit, sound quality, appearence and price. I bought mine from expansys for Ģ80 inc VAT and P+P.

Well, the original poster stated his reasons for not wanting an SE headset was cuz of problems with them... but I feel other than Bluespoon, the other BT headset manufacturers (with the exception of Bluespoon) do worse jobs than the worst SE headset out (I think that would be the HBH-10...but even that one performed decently compared to the others)
Isn't Jabra that biga$$ thing that loops behind your ear? If I
HAD to use another brand, it would either be Bluespoon (recommended0 or Plantronics.
I do not own a Bluespoon, I wish I did... a friend of mine has one and I tried it.. it really is a lot better...and a lot lighter! Battery life is unbelievable!
