Ive recently noticed that sometimes when i take my t300 off standby to make a call or something, suddenly i get a text alert saying i have a new txt, yet when i check the txt it was apparently sent 30minutes previously? Does anyone know anything about this? i find this very irritating because ive just sat with the phone in my pocket watching tv waiting for a reply for 45minutes. Only to discover just i recieved the text 30minutes ago but it didnt alert me?

thanks -flec

2 things come to mind. Firstly you have your phone on silent and did not feel the vibrate.. OR... you don't have your phone on silent and simply did not hear it in your pocket!

I have never missed an alert on my SE phones since Istarted with the T68 18 months or more ago.

Ah, it's not that simple I'm afraid masseur.

I've had the same thing happen to me quite a few times. After lotsa observation, I have found that in usually happens (to me anyway) when I leave the phone in the SMS menu. Apparently, my phone seems to think if it's on standby in SMS menu, that I will be staring at it all the time so no need for an alert.

However, just when I had come up with this theory, it happened when I was not actually in the SMS menu, but just on my regular starting screen. And I do not have an explanantion for that. It's terribly annoying tho

oh yeah, there was a recent thread about the lack of notification of a new message when you are in the sms menu so you could be right.

hmmm...

i found that my t300 had that problem only in poor reception areas, otherwise ok, never missed any.
