What is the maximum speed what is cappable with UMTS..
I saw on some websites they said 2MB/s with a phone but what if! you do it with a UMTS-card (Like the SE GPRS-card but then maybe in the future for UMTS) what would be maximum speed?

max speed can only go up to 2MB in theory for a phone thats fast enought, and for a computer who uses a UMTS pc card the speed will do fine 2. but i'm networkproviders will use WLAN in the future 2. some say that in the future whit 4G and Wlan2.0 speeds can go up to 150MB/sec! now thats fast!

that is... 2Mbps (Mbit/sec)... in real life you will probably only get around 400kbps (kbit/sec) under good conditions...

Well a mate of my is starting a internet company.
And he ask me for an Idea.
I brainstormed a little and came with the idea to use UMTS for internet surfing..
Buy some space with a Service Provider to use their network and connect someting like an antenna to your pc and go surfing but the speeds are to low compared to DSL and Cable!

8 bits = 1 byte
8mbits = 1mb

2mbits = 0.25mb = 256 kb/s
