> T610 Screen Brightness

Hi All..
A friend of mine recently bought a brand new SE T610 and the screen is really REALLY dark. Outside the screen is almost unusable and can only be seen with a hand covering the light shining onto it. I first thought that the backlight wasn't working, but it is.
Is there any way of turning the brightness up, or is it normal for the T610 screen to be this dark ?

Outdoors in sunlight the T610 screen is pretty hard to see. If it's dark indoors, then you have a problem and should return it.

I found my newer T610 has a darker screen by default than the earlier T610 that I bought and you can make and adjustment in settings, display, contrast which helps (although that is really contract and not brightness). I have my older T610 set to 0 whereas the newer one is set to 3 or 4.
The issue about vsisibility in sunlight has been discussed quite a bit so look for threads on that. In general a high contrast theme seems to help with that.
