Hi!

I'm a newbiw on this, and i have a hard time figuring out what all of this is....
I've got a 610 with chess abb. using the norwegian Telenor-net.
My Q's:
What connection to use for e-mail? (GPRS?)
WHat connection to use for MMS? (WAP?)

When I finally got my e-mail working, the MMS stopped working...why?
I didn't do anything with the wap-account used for MMS (right?)

thnx

You're seriously confused. In order to use the email client on the phone you need either a CSD/HSCSD or a GPRS connection. For MMS you will need a GPRS data account. If you are unable to set up these data accounts yourself, you can contact your network operator's helpdesk and ask them to send the settings via OTA provisioning. You will need, however, to enter yourself the details of your email and MMS servers. Hope this helps. This message was posted from a WAP device

Thank you!
I really was confused
But it's not easy for a newbie, there were so many pre-defined account on my phone (or maybe it's my SIM?!)
Anyway, it's all good now.

thnx

Sorry 2 gatecrash this post but i dont have a pc 2 start a thread, and it looks like its already been answered.... Anyway my question is: I am running firmware R7A013 on my t68i but i can only send limited character emails using pop3. I read somewhere that this problem was eliminated in R5.... Does anyone know what could be wrong? Thanx in advance.... This message was posted from a T68i

@tim: You're welcome. Just make sure you use the correct GPRS account (based on the APN) for MMS, otherwise you might be charged for the GPRS traffic as well. @rob: sorry I can't help you because I don't own a T68, but I assume it's only natural to be a limit on the number of characters that can be included in an email. Anyway, it's not a setting that you can control. This message was posted from a WAP device

That's exactly the limit on my T39. Haven't tried it on my T310 but I assume it's the same. Hope someone with a T68 will be able to give you a specific answer. This message was posted from a WAP device
