I know there are lots of post about various things i am going to say. I would really like to buy the t610 but have been a bit put off by some of the things i have read. Please could someone answer a few of my questions.
1. Are the camera photos a true reflection of how they really look. Some look quite good quality others just look really grainey.
2. The phone looks quite plastic, does it scratch easily.
3. Is the screen really that bad in sunlight.

1, Some cameras take better photos than others. Mine insn't the best, but they are fine. Its an average camera in a brillient phone. I too was wondering this when I was gonna buy a T610, and looked all over the internet for photos taken by it. It is possible to get better cameras, but they wont be much better. To me the camera is only a fun item, and I would use it a lot for mms etc, which the camera is perfectly fine for. But dont think you can use it in replace of an ordinary camera, because the quality is not near as good. It all depends on how high a vlaue you put on the camera. For fun and MMS and Backgrounds etc, it great... but dont expect more from it.
2, My phone feels solid. The black parts is plastic, and in my opinion a very good quality plastic. I havn't many, if any, scrapes on my phone, and i had lots on the t300, so i dont know if it just me being more carefull or if it better. I definatley think its as good if not better than any other phone. But then again its certainly not scratch resistant, again like any phone. The aluminium part is great, and I think it scratches easier than the plastic. In real life I dont think it has a cheap plasticy look. It just looks really really shiney black.
3, Yes the screen is bad in sunlight. ALL colour screens are bad in sunlight... (take you PC monitor or laptop out in the sun and even they are bad), but truthfull I think the t610 is worse than most. HOWEVER!! It is ALWAYS possible to see whats on the screen if you hold the screen at the right angle. It is pretty hard to take photos in sunlight, but if you point the phone in the right direction it will take it good. Incidently, pictures taken in bright sunlight turn out best.
A good theme can help a LOT in the sunlight.. i.e. A light theme with black text. You can keep the theme in your themes folder, and then use it when your going into the sun. (a stylish theme is wasted in the sunlight anyway as you cant really see it.)
I hope this helps. I was worried about these thing too, but I am really pleased with the T610... I mean really really pleased. (In saying that I could have goten a different phone and been really pleased with that as well, I just dont know.)
A really great feature of the phone it that it is totally customisable. Every menu and every background.. including menu backgrounds can be changed in a theme. You can make your own theme and have the phone exactly the way you like it.
It is really small, espically compaired to other colour phones, and it has lots of colours. Even a phone with 4100 colours makes a picture lose some of its quality, but the pictures look perfect in this phone.
I would recommend this phone to you. It has a tone of features, (blueTooth is very handy for transfaring themes and pics etc to and from your phone), and it looks pretty cool (IMHO).
Someone you know might have one.. have a mess around on it. (The more you use it the better it becomes.. (anyone else notice that... when you got it you thought it was a great little phone, and now you think its the best little phone...?)
I hope I havn't built it up too much.

The screen is bad in sunlight. The metal case on mine is scratched and dinted after 3 months but i would not swap it. Best phone for the money at the moment imo.

Yeah I was in this situation a couple of days ago. Then I went and bought it. Now even coming from a P800 I am verrry happy with my T610.
1, The actual size of the shot is pretty small although the quality on the pics is ok, definately not able to replace your actual camera and not as good as smartphone cameras but hey, it's fun.
2, Can't really answer, only got it yesterday. Although I have to say I looove the style of this phone, it's very cool.
3, Hmmm I saw it in raw, proper sunlight today expecting the worst and I must say it's not that bad. Once again I can't state too much detail.
I also want to say I was in your position a couple of days ago and I'm happy that I did go ahead and purchase it.
Hope this is of some help, I know the feeling.
